Stem Cell Therapy in Miami, FL
Healing at the Cellular Level
Stem cells produce small vesicles called exosomes that contain growth factors that aide in repairing damaged tissue. Research has demonstrated that these molecules are able to reduce inflammation and promote tissue repair. They work by improving cell to cell communication which has a positive impact on reducing inflammation and regeneration.
What are Stem Cells?
Our stem cell therapy products are ethically sourced from qualified donors derived from amniotic fluid or umbilical cord and never from fetal or embryonic source. The stem cells are screened and processed through an FDA regulated and cGMP (highest standard) qualified lab. Each stem cell therapy contains a certificate of analysis confirming sterility and viability. This ensures that we are one of the few clinics who are compliant with Florida’s Stem Cell Therapy Law, SB-1768.
The Benefits of Stem Cell Therapy
Stem cell therapy is designed to support the body’s natural healing and regenerative processes. By targeting inflammation, damaged tissue, and cellular repair, these treatments may help improve comfort, mobility, recovery, and overall wellness for a wide range of conditions.
Reduced Inflammation
Stem cell therapy may help calm inflammation throughout the body, which can contribute to reduced pain, improved comfort, and better daily function.
Enhanced Healing Support
Regenerative therapies are designed to support the body’s natural repair process, helping damaged tissues recover more efficiently after injury or strain.
Improved Mobility and Function
Many patients seek stem cell therapy to improve joint movement, flexibility, strength, and overall physical performance.
Non-Surgical Treatment Option
For some individuals, stem cell therapy offers a minimally invasive alternative to more aggressive surgical procedures or prolonged recovery periods.
Pain Relief
By targeting damaged or inflamed tissues, stem cell therapy may help reduce chronic discomfort associated with orthopedic, degenerative, or overuse conditions.
Long-Term Wellness Support
Beyond injury recovery, stem cell therapy is often used as part of a proactive wellness and longevity approach focused on cellular health and overall vitality.
Regenerative Medicine Treatments
Peptide Therapy
Peptides like BPC 157 are amino acids that can help our bodies stimulate their own natural production of growth factors which help repair our collagen and cartilage. It may not work in older individuals, those with significant degenerative conditions, or those with collagen deficiencies as they may not be able to produce their own growth factors.
Exosomes
Stem cells produce small vesicles called exosomes. These exosomes contain growth factors that communicate to damaged cells to repair. This is independent of our bodies’ ability to produce these growth factors. This is ideal for more degenerative conditions.
Stem Cells
Stem cells continuously release exosomes which contain beneficial growth factors for healing and repair. They can have a more prolonged impact as they continuously provide exosomes leading to a longer duration of healing and repair.
Who Can Benefit from Stem Cell Therapy
Stem cell therapy may benefit individuals looking to support healing, reduce inflammation, improve tissue repair, or address degenerative and chronic conditions. The ideal candidate depends on the type of stem cell therapy being used and the condition being treated.

What to Expect During Your Visit
An initial evaluation is performed by our physician, Dr. Suarez, who will examine your condition through a physical examination and review of your medical records including imaging. Patients will be provided with an individualized treatment plan to see which regenerative medicine therapy best fits their goals and medical conditions.
Peptide therapy is provided to patients to be performed at home through daily injections. Exosome treatment is provided in the office by our physician through direct injury site injection or IV infusion. Exosomes are kept in office and can be administered on the same day as the initial evaluation. Stem cells are also provided as in office injections or IV infusions. Stem cell therapies must be coordinated in advance due to the delicate nature of their storage and delivery to our office. This is coordinated after your initial evaluation. The cost of the initial evaluation as well as a follow up visit is credited towards the treatment of exosomes and stem cell therapy. Peptides are sold separately.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Are stem cells legal in the United States?
As of July 1, 2025, a new regulation in Florida, SB 1768 or the Stem Cell Therapy Act, was passed allowing licensed medical physicians to use stem cell therapies as an non FDA approved treatment for orthopedic conditions, wound care, or pain. The stem cells must meet strict regulatory standards which Covalent Health proudly meets, including ethical sourcing from FDA regulated and cGMP certified labs. Patients no longer need to travel outside the country to receive high quality stem cell therapies from licensed physicians.
What is stem cell therapy?
Stem cell therapy uses the body’s natural repair cells to promote healing and reduce inflammation. We primarily use mesenchymal stem cells derived from donated human umbilical cord tissue and exosomes from amniotic fluid. These cells are ethically sourced after healthy, full-term births and are processed according to strict regulatory standards.
What conditions or symptoms can stem cell therapy help with?
Stem cell therapy is used supportively for joint pain, osteoarthritis, soft tissue injuries, chronic inflammation, and certain degenerative conditions. It may also aid in overall wellness and recovery. Results vary by individual, and it is not a cure for any disease.
Are the stem cells from umbilical cord tissue safe and ethical?
Yes. The cells come from donated umbilical cords and placentas after healthy births — materials that would otherwise be discarded. Donors are rigorously screened, and the process is non-invasive to mother and baby. All cells are processed in compliance with applicable regulations (including Florida Statute §459.0127).
How is the treatment performed?
Treatment typically involves an intravenous (IV) infusion or targeted injection. The procedure is outpatient, takes 30–60 minutes, and requires minimal downtime. A full medical evaluation is completed beforehand.
How many treatments will I need?
Many patients see benefits from a single session or a short series (1–3 treatments). Your provider will recommend a personalized plan based on your condition and response.
When will I see results?
Some patients notice improvements in pain, mobility, or energy within days to weeks. Full regenerative effects can take 1–6 months as the body heals. Results are not guaranteed and vary widely.
What are the risks or side effects?
Side effects are generally mild and may include temporary soreness at injection sites, fatigue, or mild flu-like symptoms. Serious risks are rare when performed by qualified providers. Full risks are discussed during your informed consent process.
Am I a good candidate for stem cell therapy?
Ideal candidates are those with chronic pain, inflammation, or degenerative conditions who have not responded fully to conventional treatments. A thorough medical screening determines suitability. Certain conditions (e.g., active cancer or certain infections) may be contraindications.
How much does treatment cost?
Costs vary based on the number of cells, administration method, and individualized protocol. Please contact our office for a personalized consultation and pricing.
Is stem cell therapy covered by insurance?
Most insurance plans do not cover regenerative stem cell therapies at this time. We offer self-pay options and can provide documentation for possible reimbursement or tax purposes.
What is the difference between umbilical cord stem cells and my own stem cells?
Umbilical cord stem cells are younger, more potent, and have not been exposed to a lifetime of environmental stressors or aging. They also have strong immune-modulating properties and lower risk of rejection.
How do I get started?
Schedule a consultation with one of our providers. We will review your medical history, discuss goals, and determine if stem cell therapy is appropriate for you.
